Hi Hi Shanghai

Hi hi,

It’s already been five weeks! Time files. Five weeks means that we passed our halfway point and had our long weekend. A group of students went to Xi’an and another group of students went to Hangzhou and the Yellow Mountains; however, I chose to go to Shanghai with two other friends.

Shanghai was absolutely amazing. I love big cities and pretty city views, and Shanghai had just that. The Bund was beautiful. I went when to see the Bund on a humid, rainy day. Luckily, I got there right when the rain ended and before it resumed. The night was a little foggy, but the view was still stunning.

Shanghai also had a lot of really good food. My favorite dish I ate in Shanghai was Yang’s Dumplings. It was so good I ate it a total of three times while I was in Shanghai.

In addition to the Bund and eating lots of food, we visited many famous spots, such as the Yu Garden, two temples, and Tianzifang. Tianzifang was my favorite place out of all of the places I visited. It was sort of like a maze of little shops. There were shops selling cute toys, scarves, souvenirs, handmade journals, and so much more. Tianzifang had a little something for everyone to enjoy and had so much to explore. I ended up spending almost five hours there. Walking around outside for long periods of time under the hot, humid Shanghai sun was not pleasant, but it was worth it because of all the amazing things Shanghai had to offer. I would definitely want to visit Shanghai again.
