Faculty in the News: Prof. Heidi Kitrosser

Prof. Heidi Kitrosser

You’ve heard us say this before: the Northwestern Master of Science in Law has amazing professors who excel both inside and outside the classroom – they are accomplished academics and impressive legal and business professionals. Our faculty are often asked to speak on current events, to weigh in on policy debates, and to guide public discourse on issues at the intersection of law, business, and technology. Recently, Professor Heidi Kitrosser, who is currently teaching the MSL required course Legal & Regulatory Process, appeared on Bloomberg TV to discuss the Espionage Act.

Professor Kitrosser is the William W. Gurley Professor of Law; she is an expert in constitutional law, particularly in the areas of separation of powers, federal government secrecy, and free speech. Her MSL class, which is required for all students, focuses on the US government and the structure of its regulatory and legal systems. For many MSL students, the class known as “LRP” is their first exposure to legal thinking; this class lays the foundation that allows students to understand how law and regulation operate in the larger context of business and policy-making.

Learning from some of the world’s foremost thought leaders is one of the many benefits of being a student in the Master of Science in Law program at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. Check out the video below to see our beloved Professor Kitrosser in action!
