We are happy to introduce you to another wonderful MSL alumna, Hao Gao (MSL ’19). Hao is a patent agent in Beijing at Liu, Shen & Associates. Hao studied materials science and engineering as an undergraduate in China; she then came to the US and earned a master’s degree in materials science and engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
Hao brought an interest in intellectual property with her to the MSL program; she honed that interest in her MSL classes and in an internship she completed at Marshall Gerstein during the spring semester of her MSL year. After graduating from the MSL program, Hao was hired by Marshall Gerstein as a full-time technical specialist. An invaluable asset to Marshall Gerstein’s clients, Hao dealt with matters involving technology in the areas of materials science and engineering, as well as a variety of matters involving both the US and China.
Hao returned to China to take on a new role at Liu, Shen, where her work prosecuting patents retains an international focus. Hao’s patent practice focuses on technologies related to electrical engineering, AI, automotive, telecommunications, and more.
Fun fact about Hao: she used to be afraid of dogs until she met the MSL’s terrier mascot, Rico Suave.
