Dr, Tracy Lohr
Dr. Tracy Lohr has been named the winner of the 2018 Clara Immerwahr Award! This international award is awarded to a woman under 40 for outstanding results in Catalysis Research. Dr. Lohr is the first woman from North America to win this award. Congratulations, Tracy!
Technion Harvey Prize in Science and Technology
Tobin shares the Technion Harvey Prize in Science and Technology with Professor Carla Shatz of Stanford University (to his right) in June of 2018.
Italian National Academy of Sciences Induction
Tobin is inducted into the Italian National Academy of Sciences, the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. It was founded in 1603 and its illustrious members include Galileo, Pasteur, Einstein, Fermi, Heisenberg, and others, and more recently, American chemists Harry Gray (Caltech) and Dick Zare (Stanford). The ceremony took place at the Palazzo Corsini in Rome in November 2018. To Tobin’s right is Nobel Laureate Yuan T. Li.
National Academy of Inventors
In April 2016, Tobin was inducted as a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
Honorary Doctorate from the Technical University of Munich
