Social Media Participation in Social Protests in Sudan
This presentation aims to analyze how the Sudanese protests have made their way from the streets to becoming online protests. Social media platforms and media forms have been actively helping with spreading awareness on Sudan and giving the Sudanese people a platform in which they can speak and have their voices heard. Youth activism over the years has increasingly developed and is now associated with new media technologies, more specifically the world of social media. Social media sites and technologies are continuously threatening the government and its control over the public. Making social media, and different forms of media in general, powerful tools for protestors and supporters all over the world to support Sudan.
