Nye’s Soft Power: A Framework for Understanding the Politics of the Gulf
This presentation covers the evolution of my understanding of Joseph Nye’s idea of soft power and ways it can be applied as an analytical framework to understanding Gulf Politics. In this presentation, I explore the concept of soft power and explain its contextual application in understanding the Cold War, Gulf security and political possibilities in the future in light of the forthcoming World Cup.
