The Power of Celebrity and Politics
Hello everyone! My name is Alreem Al-Khater, a graduating senior in NU-Q. In this presentation I will be going over the Power of Celebrity and Politics. Specifically, I will be looking at the power of celebrity in the modern age. The media creates a feeling of intimacy and really good media manipulators are able to tap into that extremely well. The two celebrities I will focus on are Beyoncé and Donald Trump. I will be providing examples on how these two celebrities utilize their social media platforms to be able to connect with many people and create that form of intimacy. However, that intimacy can be used for widely divergent political goals.
