About the MSL Program
Designed exclusively for students with backgrounds in science, technology, engineering, math and medicine, the Master of Science in Law (MSL) Program at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law addresses the complex intellectual property, legal and regulatory environment facing technology professionals and entrepreneurs. The MSL’s innovative curriculum, which is not replicated anywhere else, provides focused, practical, business-centered legal training to STEM professionals. Skills acquired in this program allow MSL graduates to communicate and interact across disciplines and professions, to recognize obstacles and risks, and to visualize opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship.Students can choose to complete the full-time program in nine months, or the part-time program in two to four years. All courses meet in person on the Law School campus, located in Chicago’s vibrant Streeterville neighborhood.
