Each year, Insight Product Development hosts a HealthTECH Startup competition, which aims to cultivate entrepreneurship in the healthcare industry and connect corporations with early-stage companies. We are proud to congratulate the 2018 1st place winner, Odin Technologies, a company founded by MSL Alumnus Steven Hansen!
Odin Technologies is focused on developing a wearable diagnostic device for monitoring blood flow in trauma patients. Learn about the innovative technology here:
The idea for Odin Technologies was sparked by Steven’s participation in the MSL class, Entrepreneurship Lab with MSL Adjunct Jonathan Gunn (NLaw JD ’13), CEO & Co-founder of Briteseed. In Entrepreneurship Lab, students learn about the entire innovation life cycle from ideation to investor presentation. The course gave Steven the basics he needed to know about commercial development, legal protection, technology transfer issues, and pitching to potential investors.
Following graduation from the MSL program, Steven was offered two admirable opportunities: a job offer as a Regulatory Compliance Manager in Chicago and an acceptance to the TMCx accelerator program. Unable to deny the opportunity to take his invention further, he joined the cohort of entrepreneurs at TMCx last summer.
As a TMCx Accelerator participant, Steven Hansen had the opportunity to further develop his technology and form his Odin Technologies team. He excelled at TMCx, and participated in the TMCx Medical Device Demo Day in November.
We are excited to see Odin Technologies continue to grow and proud to have Steven Hansen as an MSL Alumnus. We’ll be sure to keep our community (including our blog readers!) updated on his triumphs!
