Dear all,

 

We would like to invite you to a two-part event with Professor Hironao Okahana of George Mason University, the Vice President of Research and Knowledge Development for the Council of Graduate Students (CGS). Professor Okahana’s research focuses on education in STEM graduate programs with particular emphasis on enrollment statistics, diversity and inclusiveness, as well as, career pathways and labor market outcomes. MatSAIC and NUBonD will be co-hosting a mediated Q&A session with Professor Okahana onĀ Friday June 26th, 2-3pm.Ā Additionally, to help make our discussion more engaging, we will be hosting a literature discussion on the precedingĀ Monday June 22nd, 2-3pmĀ to discuss a few of his works, no prior experience necessary. We invite everyone interested inĀ eitherĀ event to RSVP and submit a question or two for Professor Okahana.

 

You can attend either event without attending the other, but please consider making time to attend at least some of both events. Zoom links will be e-mailed out using the RSVP forms.
