Qatar’s Media and Political Landscape

Welcome to my e-portfolio, which showcases my exploration of media’s transformative role in shaping global perceptions, influencing diplomacy, and constructing political narratives. Through my coursework, research, and reflections, I analyze how media operates as a tool of empowerment and control, focusing on Qatar’s strategic use of media, soft power, and global branding.

Drawing from my Public Diplomacy, Cultural Diplomacy, and International Relations studies, I examine how nations leverage media to assert influence on the world stage. My research delves into Qatar’s use of Al Jazeera, sports diplomacy, and digital branding to shape its international image, counter adversarial narratives, and navigate geopolitical challenges. Additionally, I explore the intersection of media and politics, highlighting how digital platforms can both amplify marginalized voices and serve as battlegrounds for ideological conflict.

This capstone reflects how my perspective on media and Qatar’s global influence has deepened, shaped by key historical moments, modern media strategies, and my academic journey. I invite you to explore my work, engage with my analysis, and consider the profound impact of media in shaping our interconnected world.
