Immigration, Identity, and Agency: How Media Shapes Political Discourse
Hello! I am Laeba, and welcome to my capstone project for the Media and Politics minor. Throughout my academic journey, I have been deeply engaged with how media reflects and actively shapes political ideologies and movements. In the digital age, media has evolved into a battleground where power is contested, narratives are crafted, and historical legacies of colonialism are either reinforced or challenged. The need to decolonize media and academic knowledge has been a recurring theme in my studies, particularly in examining how dominant narratives often marginalize voices from the Global South.
