SWAC, FIRs, and RAs regularly organize Southwest Area cheese-centered events. Whether it’s a FIR “Wine” and Cheese reception, an Area Council Build Your Own Charcuterie Board, or an RA Cheese Tasting, Southwest Area leaders love to offer any event related to cheese. Snacks by Southwest
Residents of the Southwest Area know that Snacks by Southwest is a longtime area tradition, but the food and entertainment change every time. From Hecky’s Barbecue, Bennison’s Bakery, and other local Evanston favorites, Snacks x Southwest is a staple event for all area residents. Join the masses for the favorite area tradition!
Southwest Ceramics
Every year, the Southwest Area Council hosts a themed ceramics painting! Kicking the year off with Spooky Ceramics, Southwest Area residents enjoyed boba, cookies, and Halloween-themed pottery. While the theme changes every year, this evening gives you the chance to explore your creative side and take home a professionally glazed ceramic piece!
Sunset S'mores
Each academic year, Southwest Area Council welcomes residents to campus with their area tradition, Sunset S’mores. Southwest Area residents gather at the Willard Fire Pit to make a s’more and meet other members of the area community. Don’t miss Sunset S’mores next year!
