NUSAC co-hosts an annual Growing Your Career Workshop in partnership with the Office of Human Resources.
This in-person event alternates between the Evanston and Chicago campus each year. For the 2023-24 year, the event was held at Norris on the Evanston campus Monday, October 2nd from 9:00am – 1:00pm.
The workshop is designed to help provide professional development and training opportunities to Northwestern staff to help advance their career and create opportunities to network and connect with colleagues outside of their own departments.
For the October 2023 event, sessions included:

- Navigating the Job Search Process
- Mock Interviews
- Creating and Proactively Navigating a Roadmap for Career Development
- Open Networking
