NROTC Midshipmen have the opportunity to commission into a variety of different Navy and Marine communities. Navy Option Midshipmen can pursue various career options in communities such as Surface Warfare, Submarine Service, Naval Aviation, along with special warfare including roles in SEAL teams. Marine Option Midshipmen can pursue careers in fields such as Infantry, Aviation, Logistics, Intelligence, and Legal Services. These communities allow midshipmen to specialize in areas that align with their skills, interests, and passions. Each path offers unique challenges and rewards, enabling midshipmen to contribute significantly to the Navy’s missions and uphold the service’s core values of honor, courage, and commitment.
