NROTC at Northwestern
The purpose of the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Program is to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Navy’s unrestricted line, the Navy Nurse Corps and the Marine Corps.
The NROTC Unit at Northwestern University is composed of undergraduate students from Northwestern University and Loyola University Chicago. The unit is located on Northwestern University’s campus, where students from both schools attend Naval Science classes, leadership labs, and physical training.
Northwestern University NROTC is one of the six original NROTC units founded in 1926. We have a long history of graduating commissioned officers with strong, well-rounded academic backgrounds from one of the nation’s most prestigious universities.
