Information Warfare plays a vital role in Command and control, Battlespace Awareness, and Integrated Fires to achieve Freedom of Maneuver across all warfighting domains. In order to defeat our enemies, we must understand how they think and work to develop the battlespace, and give our forces prudent information in a timely manner. The ultimate Naval fighting force is limited in their abilities without the efforts of the Navy’s Information Warfare Officers.
The Information Warfare Community consists of Communications, Networks, Intelligence, Oceanography, Meteorology, Cryptology, Electronic Warfare, Cyberspace Operations, and Space.
