Kayla Posley

Kayla is an undergraduate student at UIC majoring in public policy with a concentration in education policy and double minors in philosophy and economics. She is a member of ROO, a club on campus geared toward helping students engage in public policy at the local level where she has assisted in various policy initiatives related to bettering the lives of students at UIC as well as people in the neighboring community. Kayla has experience in the education realm which she gained from tutoring kids after school while working as an Americorps volunteer. She also has previous work experience involving prisons that she gained during her time interning at the Rockford Public Defender’s office, collecting information for their attorneys. Kayla’s plans for the future involve going to law school and working in human rights law and one day using her public policy degree to reform existing prison and education policy.
