Program Director
Jennifer Lackey is the Founding Director of the Northwestern Prison Education Program and the Wayne and Elizabeth Jones Professor of Philosophy and Professor of Law (courtesy) at Northwestern University.
Michelle Paulsen
Deputy Director
Michelle Paulsen is the Deputy Director of the Northwestern Prison Education Program.
Josias Escobedo
Josias Escobedo is the Program Coordinator of the Northwestern Prison Education Program. He previously served as the Undergraduate Program Assistant for the Northwestern University Department of Political Science and as a communications specialist for the New Mexico Department of Public Safety. Josias also has experience in veteran agri-therapy and agritourism.
Justice Fellows
Founded in 2023, the NPEP Justice Fellows Program accepts five individuals who have been directly impacted by the criminal legal system for a one-year term of leadership in our program.
