NPEP has four distinct educational programs at facilities throughout Illinois, spanning from 4-6 week college-ready courses to a full bachelor’s degree.
Admissions
NPEP is currently open to all incarcerated men and women in the state of Illinois who have either earned a high school diploma or passed the GED, with the exception of those subject to IDOC restrictions.
Curriculum
Classes offered in NPEP are taught with content and expectations equivalent to those at Northwestern University. Explore the curriculum our students take to receive their bachelor’s degrees in social sciences.
