Michael Dreyer teaches political theory at Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena (Germany), where he also heads the Weimar Republic Research Center. He also serves as chairman of the Weimar Republic Society (Verein Weimarer Republik) in Weimar, which is about to open the “Haus der Weimarer Republik”, a museum, research facility and public education center in Weimar. Previous positions included the universities Kiel, Mainz, and Northwestern University, as well as guest positions at the John F. Kennedy Institute, FU Berlin, the Mohyla Academy (Kiev), Pembroke College in Cambridge, and the Center for European Studies, Harvard University.
