Jan Bartoszek, Founder/Artistic Director of Hedwig Dances

Inspired by Bauhaus modernists, Hedwig Dances’ founder and artistic director Jan Bartoszek presents a solo excerpt from Futura, her newest collaborative dance work.  The Chicago Reader deemed Futura “a visual metaphor for Bauhaus’s revolutionary ideology.”  Following the performance there will be a short discussion.  Participants will then play with Bauhaus concepts of geometry and improvisation to create their own paper costume and accompanying movement.
