Where are you from?
Jamaica, West-Indies
Why did I decide to apply to NPEP?
I decided that I wanted to guide my own destiny. Using education, this is me taking control of my agency. In these carceral spaces, everything is backwards: violence, anger, and pain are the norm, they are accepted and praised. Education, honesty, and compassion are frowned upon and looked at with fear. However, I am determined.
What does being a part of NPEP mean to you?
Bright future.
What are you most looking forward to as an NPEP student?
Learning, becoming an agent of change
What is something you would like others to know about you as a student?
I’m very hard on myself.
What is a fact about yourself that others might find surprising?
I’m a Grandpa.
