Cohort: 2

Where are you from?

Chicago.

Why did you decide to apply to NPEP?

I decided to apply to NPEP in order to increase my capacity to fulfill my existential purpose along proper ontological lines, and I’m very excited to see what that new version of myself will look like.

What does being a part of NPEP mean to you?

It is truly an honor and a privilege to be part of such a historical institution that is committed to providing us with the tools we need to become the heroes of our stories.

What has been your favorite NPEP reading?

“The Heavy Toll of the Black Belt’s Wastewater Crisis” by Alexis Okeowo. My family is from Alabama and understanding the conditions under which they suffer motivates me to increase my utility so that I can help provide solutions.

What is something you would like others to know about you as a student?

I try to make sense of my world primarily through the prism of conflict theory.

What is a fact about yourself others might find surprising?

As an intellectual descendent of W.E.B DuBois, I am a member of his Talented Tenth and have accepted the responsibility of developing the best in myself so that I may uplift the masses with a sense of the most profound gratitude to the Supreme Ruler of the Universe.
