Where are you from?
Robbins, Illinois, a small south suburb of Chicago.
Why did you decide to apply to NPEP?
To elevate my education, learn new things, and become a more positive and productive person before I return to society.
What does being a part of NPEP mean to you?
The challenges, community, and growth. Also, I am looking forward to accomplishing things that even I didn’t know were possible. By getting this degree, I will be breaking the cycle of my immediate family by becoming the first to have a bachelor’s degree.
What are you most looking forward to as an NPEP student?
I love being intellectually challenged, so I am looking forward to being pushed by the classes.
What is something you would like others to know about you as a student?
I really dislike not knowing, and I will not quit until I find an answer.
What is a fact about yourself that others might find surprising?
The most surprising fact about myself that others find is that I am a practicing Muslim. My beliefs are very important to me and have really become something that defines who I am.
