Where are you from?
I’m from the west-side of Chicago
Why did I decide to apply to NPEP?
My sister was killed in 2016, she also was in prison for 3 years. When she was released, she was a different woman, she was fully rehabilitated, I wanted to follow her down that path, so I started educating myself. Then I became addicted to it, so joining NPEP was my challenge.
What does being a part of NPEP mean to you?
It means a lot. It lets me know I’m still alive, it lets me know I’m loved, but most of all, it tells me people still care and haven’t given up on me.
What are you most looking forward to as an NPEP student?
The challenge, the love, the community and the education
What is something you would like others to know about you as a student?
I’m fun to be around, making people smile is what I do. I think it comes from growing up, not having too much to laugh about, also I’m loving and very passionate about my family.
What is a fact about yourself that others might find surprising?
I love to sing! Not good at it, but I’ll definitely try to sing like I’m a Grammy award winner.
