Damilola is a second-year student at Northwestern University seeking ways to make transformative changes for marginalized communities. Damilola is interested in doing legal and policy work focused on making proactive rather than reactive changes for the advancement of marginalized communities. In alignment with her goal, she is pursuing a B.S. in social policy with a minor in legal studies and a certificate in integrated marketing communications. Outside of the classroom, she is a Reparations Intern with the City of Evanston. She spends time supporting students as a Resident Assistant and as a mentor in the Black Mentorship Program. Additionally, she enjoys the time she spends in UPEP as secretary and an Equity and Inclusion committee member. She hopes to learn more about ways to end mass incarceration and spread awareness of injustices in the U.S. criminal justice system.
