Bryan Cárcamo

Bryan is a second-year undergraduate student majoring in Latina and Latino studies at the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. As a co-chair of the equity & inclusion committee, Bryan hopes to contribute to collective efforts in addressing the serious underrepresentation of Black, indigenous, and people of color in the Undergraduate Prison Education Partnership. In addition, as a committee member of operations, Bryan has peer mentored a small group of students in the St. Charles and Chicago Illinois Youth Centers of the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice.

Another major goal of the equity & inclusion committee is to collectively facilitate recruitment efforts for Black, indigenous, and people of color IDJJ peer mentors. Bryan encourages those interested in supporting these goals to join the equity & inclusion committee in any capacity and at any time.
