Anne d’Aquino is the Director of Operations for the Northwestern Prison Education Program. Anne earned her PhD in the Biological Sciences at Northwestern University. Her thesis focused on studying and engineering the protein synthesis machine of the cell: the ribosome. During her PhD Anne was a recipient of an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, a Ryan Fellowship, a Molecular Biophysics Training grant, and is a Northwestern University Presidential Fellow. Prior to Northwestern, Anne received her BSc in Biochemistry and a minor in mathematics from Western Washington University.
Anne also regularly teaches college-level courses at Stateville Correctional Center and in Division 10 of the Cook County Department of Corrections.
