Kaylyn Ahn

Kaylyn is a second-year undergraduate pursuing a double major in social policy and legal studies. She is an Emerging Scholar with the Office of Undergraduate Research, a DeBerry Civic Scholar, and was named one of GLAAD’s 20 Under 20 LGBTQ+ changemakers. After her sexual assault was not prosecuted due to a legal loophole, she testified in front of the Illinois House and Senate and successfully passed HB5441 to amend the definition of consent. In addition to UPEP, she is the Events chair for SPEAK (for sexual assault awareness) and performs poetry with Northwestern’s speech team.
