Jacob E. Rothschild is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at Northwestern University. His research interests include political behavior and political communication, as well as survey and experimental research methods. Jake’s dissertation examines the ways in which political elites engage social identities in the mass public to shape political attitudes and behaviors. He has also published work on partisan polarization and gender politics.
Before arriving at Northwestern, Jake earned a BA and MA from the University of Southern Mississippi. He started volunteering at Stateville and joined the NPEP Graduate Student Advisory Committee in 2018 and is excited to help grow the program.
