Mariam is an undergraduate studying journalism and international studies on the pre-law track. She is interested in exploring the intersection between race, gender, immigration, and the carceral system. At Northwestern, Mariam is a staff writer for the Undergraduate Law Journal. After first joining UPEP in the fall of 2022, she became a member of the executive board in the spring of 2023. As Operations Co-Chair, Mariam looks forward to supporting UPEP’s mission to increase access to education!
