Eligibility
NPEP is currently open to all incarcerated men and women in the state of Illinois who have either earned a high school diploma or passed the GED, with the exception of those subject to IDOC restrictions.
Admissions
Students are accepted into NPEP by an Admissions Committee made up of Northwestern administrators and faculty. The admissions process is rigorous and selective, with applications to NPEP including a personal statement, textual analysis, and in-person interviews. NPEP currently serves 100 students across Sheridan Correctional Center and Logan Correctional Center.
