For Students

Are you looking for practical experience for your data science skills? Seeking a career in data science? The Metropolitan Chicagoland Data Science Corps represents an opportunity to engage with local community partners who have challenges perfect for your specialized skills.

To participate in MCDC we recommend the following curriculum:

Data science pathway courses and practicum, studio, or other project-driven course –> DAU (summer internship)

If you have a project-based course that you feel should qualify in the place of a MCDC practicum course, please submit a justification to suzan@northwestern.edu and matt.sperry@northwestern.edu for review.

Click your school’s logo below to view lists of eligible data science pathway courses and practicum courses at each MCDC universities.

Students who have completed requisite course work for eligibility may apply for a Data science Application for Undergraduates (DAU), a summer-long opportunity to work on a data science project with a faculty mentor and community partner.
