My name is Samantha Krill, I am a senior Economics major interning at Morgan Stanley. Morgan Stanley is a leading global investment bank and I am interning in their Private Wealth Management division. Private Wealth Management teams manage the finances of high net worth individuals. The team that I am interning for manages $1.2 billion in assets and we have clients all around the world.

My role is to research and analyze various asset classes such as ETFs, stocks and bonds and submit detailed reports and recommendations to the financial advisor so he can implement changes to clients’ portfolios if he thinks that is necessary. I also create marketing campaigns, presentations and pitch books targeting high net worth families, corporations and individuals. These deliverables are used in prospect meetings when the team is pitching to and trying to secure new clients. This internship has taught me a lot about the markets and the importance of building relationships in the business community. It has also taught me time management skills, along with interpersonal and analytical skills. The CFS program has given me the freedom to explore a potential career that I enjoy and I am so excited to use what I have learned in the professional world.
