This fall, i have had the opportunity to work at HBR Consulting three days a week, where I work as a seasonal analyst in the Law Firm Advisory division. The firm specializes in consulting law firms, helping them optimize their practices and ultimately, save money for the company. Most of the projects revolve around helping law firms go paperless, and it has been interesting to see how much of the world still operates a non-digital setting. I’m planning on continuing my career in consulting, so having this experience for own knowledge is invaluable.
The most challenging aspect of this quarter has been balancing work with my Chicago Field Studies course and Spanish class. While it can sometimes feel like I’m being pulled in three different directions, my CFS professor, Prof. Liz McCabe, has been a resource for dealing with these concerns. She understands how busy we are, and in addition to being an engaging professor, is there for any issues that may arise.
