- FaculTea: Relax with CCS faculty and members by downing some nice tea and devouring delicious snacks at Facul-tea. Happens once a quarter 🙂
- Fellows Lunches: Eat lunch and meet some of our faculty fellows, who are professors who enjoy having lunch and chatting with CCSers! – day/time TBD at the beginning of each quarter.
- Firesides: Faculty or student-led discussions on a variety of topics. Highlights from the past have included a Lunar New Year celebration with Prof. Jingjing Ji and a discussion about eclipse history with Prof. Andy Rivers! These occur regularly each quarter.
- Cross Res College (XRC) Trips: These are trips that you take with other res colleges to get to build relationships with other people from different res colleges and to get to know Chicago better.
- IM Sports: Compete against other residential colleges and various student groups. Anyone can play! Fall sports are dodgeball, football, and volleyball, Winter sports are Basketball and Indoor Soccer, and Spring sports are 6″ softball, 11v11 soccer, ultimate frisbee, and 4v4 flag football. Any questions can be directed to our Vice President of Programming!Â
- CCS Chair Positions: Various quarterly positions that help run CCS and make it a more engaging community. People interested submit short applications and the exec board elects the positions at the beginning of each quarter. You’ll get more information throughout the year.
- What are points? Points are a way of rewarding you for your participation in CCS, including many of the events and opportunities just mentioned! The number of points you have by the end of Winter Quarter determines your ranking in choosing a room for the following year.
