
Janiah Fields, Assistant Resident Director
Janiah Fields (she/her) is a Baltimore native and recent graduate of McDaniel College (’25),
where she earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Africana Studies. On campus, she
served in several leadership roles, including EDGE Mentor, Wellness Center Outreach
Specialist, President of the Psychology Honors Society, and Upperclassman Resident
Assistant—all with a focus on supporting students of color.
Passionate about Black mental health and culturally responsive suicide prevention, Janiah has collaborated with organizations such as the Black Mental Health Alliance, Healing Youth Alliance, SAMHSA, and the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health.
She also served as a research assistant in the GRACE Lab at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg
School of Public Health, contributing to research on suicide prevention with an emphasis on racialized experiences in Black communities.
This fall, Janiah will begin pursuing her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. Her long-term goal is to become a clinical researcher advancing culturally grounded suicide prevention and mental wellness for Black youth.

Joe Anderson, Assistant Resident Director
During the 2025-26 academic year, Joe Anderson will serve as an Assistant Resident Director for South Area.

Kaitlyn Sallee, Assistant Resident Director
Kaitlyn Sallee is excited to spend the next year as an ARD for South Area! Originally from Michigan, she recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Psychological & Brain Sciences. She is now a first-year master’s student in Northwestern’s Engineering Design Innovation program, where she is pursuing her passion for assistive technology and improving quality of life through design.
At WashU, Kaitlyn served as a Resident Advisor and held leadership roles as president of both the Society of Women Engineers and Tikkun Olam Makers. She was also active in athletic, volunteer, and Christian clubs on campus. She looks forward to supporting Northwestern students in building community and making the most of their residential experience.
In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys cooking, biking, hammocking, and exploring new places. Her moves across five different states in the past three years have fueled her love for discovering new communities and finding meaningful connections wherever she goes.

Nikita Rabbitt, Graduate Assistant to the Faculty-in-Residence
Nikita Rabbitt is a second year Doctor of Physical Therapy student. Nikita completed their ungraduated education at the University of Utah, receiving a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BFA in Modern Dance in 2022. As an undergraduate, Nikita acted as a lead mentor for the University of Utah’s ACCESS program for Gender Diversity in STEM, organizing social and academic programing for students. While in school Nikita also co-founded Salt Lake Dance and Parkour, a company of urban movement artists dedicated to teaching movement as a free and accessible art form. After graduating, Nikita continued to work in administration as the Industry Liaison for the University of Utah’s Interdisciplinary Performing Arts Council, coordinating a collaborative, evening length show between local artists and university students.
