Shepard Collaboration Space
Who needs Google’s offices when you’ve got the Shepard Collaboration Space right here? Hanging egg chairs. Wireless projection from your computer or mobile device to one of four monitors. Whiteboards and mounted rolls of butcher paper for working out ideas. Power cords dropping down from the ceiling. Flexible furniture. Oh, did we mention the hanging egg chairs? This is the place to be for working on problem sets, a group presentation, a script, a business plan, or anything else for which two (or three or four) heads are better than one.
Shepard Privacy Booths
When you need to avoid the distractions in your room or on your hall to focus, you can’t beat one of the four privacy booths in the Shepard Engagement Center. With room for up to four people, these are great places to focus on reading or writing. While not fully soundproofed, the booths offer some measure of privacy, which makes them popular for South Area residents conducting video interviews for class projects or an internship application. You don’t have to worry about finding the right angle to get books instead of a Bob Marley poster in the background. Pro tip: If you know you need a room at a particular time in the week ahead, you can use the touchpad to reserve it.
