Why did you join NUSAC? I am learning that I find a lot of joy in advocating for my peers and colleagues, in offering opportunities to learn and participate in “non-work work” that may not come naturally, and I enjoy networking. I hope that my joining NUSAC will help me connect with others as much as it will help me connect others out there who may be looking for a lifeline.

What is the most important thing your NU staff colleagues should know about NUSAC? NUSAC is here for all of US! It’s meant to be a council to connect, explore, and assist when those times are needed.

What issue are you most passionate about related to improving the NU experience for staff? I am very excited to share with NU staff how to maximize the excellent benefits we have available, as well as give them spaces to connect with others across different units.

What do you most enjoy about your work at Northwestern? I love the teams I work with, I love the minutiae of the work I do. In general, I enjoy “knowing things” and my work gives me a lot of satisfaction to be a sort of expert in the tasks I do every day.

What is a little-known fun fact about you? In a former life, I was a pastry cook.
