Why did you join NUSAC? I joined NUSAC to advocate for my colleagues across the university and be a part of something big.
What is the most important thing your NU staff colleagues should know about NUSAC? The council is here to support staff, and we read and discuss every single inquiry that’s received. The council is comprised of 25 staff volunteers who are passionate about driving change and sustaining things that work, so Northwestern continues to be where people want to be.
What issue are you most passionate about related to improving the NU experience for staff? I am passionate about talent development and staff engagement so that staff can realize their full potential and its impact across the university. When staff are supported (talent development and beyond), I believe they find space to grow and give back to the community.
What do you most enjoy about your work at Northwestern? My work allows me the flexibility to be creative and try new things. For that to be successful, I have to rely on my colleagues and leverage their expertise and tenure. I find this in my staff appointment and through my involvement with other groups across Northwestern.
What is a little-known fun fact about you? I’m an executive coach and received my education from SESP’s Organizational and Leadership Coaching Certificate (OLCC).
