Why did you join NUSAC? I joined NUSAC to serve as an advocate for staff on our campus and to relay critical information – we’re 7,000 miles away, but all of us are Northwestern Wildcats at heart!
What is the most important thing your NU staff colleagues should know about NUSAC? The most important thing that our peers should know is that their voice is always heard (even when they don’t think it is). There is great collaboration between NUSAC members, and we are continuously brainstorming about ways to improve the staff experience, raising awareness, and bouncing ideas off one another.
What issue are you most passionate about related to improving the NU experience for staff? What initially drew me to Northwestern was the great work environment. I’m passionate about staff engagement and how we can collaborate together to make this a fun, productive, supportive, and healthy place to live and learn.
What do you most enjoy about your work at Northwestern? I really enjoy working with our Qatar-based students. It has been an incredibly rewarding time partnering with fantastic colleagues on all campuses as we support the student journey.
What is a little-known fun fact about you? I’ve lived in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia and Qatar) for more than a decade.
