The Northwestern University Staff Advisory Council (NUSAC) is recruiting new council members. Please consider joining fellow staff members in serving as a voice and change-agent for Northwestern staff.

About NUSAC: NUSAC is a group of 25 volunteer staff members that come together to promote a positive work environment and serve as an advocacy group and communication channel between staff and University administration. Eligible staff members are appointed by the President from a list of nominees recommended by the Council.
Membership Eligibility:
- Applicants must be regular full-time or part-time staff members in good standing with at least two years of continuous service at the University. Good standing status generally includes no corrective action on file and Performance Excellence ratings of 3 or “Achieving.”
- Supervisor Approval. Applicants and members must have an agreement with their supervisors that some of their work time will be spent attending NUSAC meetings, participating in NUSAC-related events, and working on projects on behalf of NUSAC.
Membership Responsibilities:
- Be available to attend monthly General Council meetings. We work to create a flexible opportunity to allow people to attend in person during alternating Chicago and Evanston campus meetings or online for virtual meetings.
- Be available to attend additional monthly meetings for one of four working subcommittees (Benefits, Human Resources, Outreach, and Communications). Virtual meeting attendance available.
- Be willing to work as part of a team.
- Commit to serving a three-year membership term.
