Why did you join NUSAC? I joined NUSAC to stay engaged with the broader University and to assist in any way that I could to enhance the experiences of the staff community.
What is the most important thing your NU staff colleagues should know about NUSAC? NUSAC serves as a liaison between the staff community and senior/school/unit leadership. Therefore, it is important that we hear from staff to know how to best advocate on their behalf. Please share your thoughts at nusac@northwestern.edu or reach out to me or any council member.
What issue are you most passionate about related to improving the NU experience for staff? I am passionate about enhancing the culture of NU by ensuring our values align with our operational practices. This would include greater transparency in University processes so that the community understands the rationale for decisions (where appropriate) and knows what resources are available. There is also fairness in the application of policies and treatment of all staff.
What do you most enjoy about your work at Northwestern? I am a compliance professional that is really here to help. Therefore, I enjoy proactively engaging faculty and staff to clarify complicated topics or enhance procedures to make work more efficient.
What is a little-known fun fact about you? I am a Scrabble enthusiast. Scrabble was a part of my wedding theme and I have hosted Scrabble tournaments. Playing Scrabble brings me joy.
