Maria Aversano, Graduate Assistant to Faculty-in-Residence
Originally from Baltimore, MD, Maria earned her BA in Psychology and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at the University of Rochester in New York. Before joining the Northwestern community, Maria worked as an events coordinator for the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks at Cylburn Arboretum and the Rawlings Conservatory. Currently, outside of being a graduate assistant to the FIR, Maria is a full-time student and marriage and family therapist-in-training at The Family Institute at Northwestern. Beyond campus, Maria enjoys spending time paddle-boarding, reading, playing video games, spending time with her animals, watching horror movies with friends, hiking, crocheting, seeing art exhibits and performances, and cooking. Maria is so excited to be returning to the area team and to continue working with the incredible community of students and faculty/staff at Northwestern.
