近代报纸数据库 / Jin dai bao zhi shu ju ku / Modern Newspapers in China
The “Modern Newspaper Database” is a sub-database of the “General Database of Chinese Historical Documents” (中国历史文献总库. 近代报纸数据库 ) , developed by the Chinese National Library Press. It mainly focuses on the collections of the National Library, supplemented by newspapers from other libraries, including major national newspapers and local newspapers. Provides title-based article retrieval, and can accurately locate the content of a single article, which is convenient for users to refer to. “Modern Newspaper Database” has published over 567 newspapers, included in the years: 1840 – 1949, these newspapers covered all regions of the country, and fully reflected the local customs and social conditions of the Republic of China. Texts are translatable and searchable in English.
