Chicago Field Studies has been a great program that has given me very meaningful work experience. Every day I have learned a lot about client interaction, time management, attentiveness to detail, and many other more technical skills. At Arcalea, a digital marketing consultancy, I was given a lot of freedom to pursue work I was interested in and to acquire skills that I wanted to. I really appreciated this aspect of my internship, and while I still have one week remaining, I can confidently say that this experience has helped to shape my future career and to determine what I find important in a company that I work for.

In the Business Field Studies Course, I was able to speak about my experiences with my peers and was also able to learn from theirs’. We participated in weekly debates and discussions that were very interesting to me and compelled great conversations. Additionally, through the current event presentations, Canvas discussions, and weekly topics I was able to learn a lot about many industries and some of the most relevant problems in today’s society.

Overall, I highly recommend the CFS program to anyone who is considering it. You gain great experience in an industry of your interest and also take a great class to ensure you take as much away from your experience as you can. My internship and the Business Field Studies class have certainly been some of the highlights of my academic career at Northwestern, and I am very happy that I chose to participate.
