At Rainbows for All Children, I am the manager of all social media platforms. I use certain software to schedule out my posts weeks in advance and research ways to get the most viewership. I also meet with the team to talk about ways to get more outreach and market better. I interview facilitators of our support groups and put articles out on emails/Facebook/newsletters about what they are doing and how their work has impacted their lives. I also research childhood mental health and trauma to post relevant stats and articles on the website. I have learned what it’s like to work with those older than me, and gotten to be an integral part of the team rather than someone just doing busy work. I am the core media and marketing member, and have learned the ins and outs of a non-profit.
