My Civic Engagement class with CFS is the perfect compliment to my internship at 270 Strategies. At 270, I’m working on the engagement team, helping run operations for Get Out The Vote coalitions with interest in ballot initiatives. My work is centralized around moving people to become more civically engaged. Through my internship, I’m learning best practices surrounding a civic engagement as a profession.

In the Civic Engagement class, I am learning about the broader history of social and political organizing throughout the United States and in Chicago. The class is a perfect supplement because I am able to refine what I learn at work in an applicable classroom setting with an amazing instructor. The class has been one of the best that I have taken at Northwestern, and the CFS experience has been fantastic overall.
