The Yap Lab invites application for 1-2 postdoctoral research positions in the field of molecular microbiology. We are looking for new team members who share our enthusiasm for the RNA biology and mechanism of antibiotic resistance in Staphylococcus aureus. Candidates who have hands-on experience or are interested in applying deep-sequencing technology and ribosome/RNA biochemistry are preferable.
Qualifications: Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. in microbiology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, biophysics or a closely related field. No more than 2 years of postdoctoral experience. Previous training in RNA/ribosome biology, enzymology and structural biology is a plus. Candidates with structural biology or bioinformatics training who want to gain wet bench experience are welcome.
